EC3AW02

The EC3AW02 is a Cincon EC3AW series isolated DC-DC converter rated at 3 W with a 4:1 input range of about 9 V to 36 V DC and a single regulated 12 V output at up to about 250 mA, in a DIP-24 package. The 4:1 input range lets the module accept a varying bus and hold the output, which suits an industrial 24 V bus, a battery or a telecom supply, and the isolation of about 1500 VDC separates the input and the output for safety and noise immunity. The module includes a pi input filter, a regulated output with a continuous short-circuit protection and an efficiency of about 76 percent, and it operates over an industrial temperature range. The DIP-24 footprint is an industry standard, so the part drops into a common board layout, and the small module suits a control board that must derive a clean isolated rail from a wider bus. Typical applications include industrial control, telecom and datacom equipment, instrumentation and a distributed power architecture.
